Man Caves, Mommas & Baby Blues!

Gabriel, our yearling F3 wether, has the baby blues. His BFF twin sister, Kevina, is a first-time momma and positively obsessed with her new baby, Linus. In fact, all of our mommas, with whom he once gallivanted happily and freely, have decided that Gabriel is a sheepa-non-grata right now, at least until the babies are older, I suspect. So, Gabriel has been moved to a makeshift man cave, where he can still feel a part of the flock through the pipe-gate panels.

All this is just to say that we have decided to look for a new (immediate) home for Gabriel, who is our only wether. We decided to keep him after our 2023 lambing season because he had such a wonderful personality from the start and we couldn’t bear to part with him. He has remained incredibly sweet and social and is a fan favorite. As you can see in the video, he walks beautifully on a leash and is happy to be with his human companions!

He would make a great addition to a 4H, FFA, or farm family who wants a sweet boy to love on. He also has lovely wool for fiber projects. He is an F3 (87.5%) Valais, is DNA verified through Flock 54 with the option to register him with VBSS (we choose not to register non-breeders but you can). He is out of Fieldgate Therese and his sire is Remarkable Albert.  He is being offered for 2K to a home with at least one other sheep in their “farmily.” (It does not have to be another Valais.)

We also have F3 & F4 BABIES FOR SALE and a pair of PROVEN F2 EWES who can give your own breed-up program a jumpstart! They are ready to be bred-back this Fall. All will be available mid-June. You can see their photos and details here:

If you’re interested in Gabriel, please reach out. He is eager to vacate his man cave and will surely bring your farm lots of fun and woolly cuddles. 🥰
